Outreach
A significant aspect of Artists Now’s mission is to our children. Each event held for adults leads to and helps support outreach in our schools to educate and inspire children to see the potential artist in themselves. Over the past 5 years (2004–2008) Artists Now has brought 19 outreach events into our public schools. Sarah Naylor and Douglas Millar of the Isle of Skye Scotland have presented week- long programs at both Bartle and Irving Schools for the past three years, sharing the sounds and stories of their rich Celtic culture. Our dedication to enriching the community through the arts has brought the sounds of Jazz, Classical & Celtic music, the children have heard strings, pianos, horns, African drums, and in the fall of 2008 the American Repertory Ballet makes their debut in the Highland Park Schools.
